Here is a sampling of the upgrade and conversion work SpecSoft has done.
• Convert legacy Giddings & Lewis controls to state of the art Yaskawa controls on an abrasive manufacturers production line.
• Convert Allen Bradley servo motors, gear reducers, couplings and all PLC controls on a large gantry robot to up to date Omron controls.
• Upgrade legacy Allen Bradley servos and controls to Yaskawa servos and controls on a production line that manufactures automotive floor liners.
• Integrated individual used machines into a salsa production line including all mechanicals and controls.
• Retrofitted a sheet metal brake with pneumatic follower lifts to servo controlled follower lifts integrated with the brake's CNC controller.
• Designed, built, programmed and installed an Allen Bradley control system for a recycling grinder that was made in China and only offered with Chinese controls.
• Retrofitted some customer made carton forming machines with up to date controls.
• Designed, manufactured and installed personnel guarding on face mask manufacturing machines made in China but not offered with guarding. Also, set up and corrected some design deficiencies in the machines.
• Upgraded obsolete Siemens AC drives to current technology Siemens drives and controls on an adhesive coating machine.
• Reverse engineered and supplied gears for a local company that was printing cake mix cartons on a high speed Kamori printing press.
• Installed and commissioned a second hand Jones high speed pouch filling machine in a Chicago contract packager. Also provided ongoing service.
• Reverse engineered and manufactured replacement parts for many machines for which replacement parts are no longer available.
